Gruss an Baunach
With “Gruß an Baunach” (Greeting to Baunach), composer Tobias Psaier has created a musical tribute to the 40th anniversary of the Musikverein Stadtkapelle Baunach. The march combines the traditions of classic band music with a fresh and contemporary musical language, reflecting the development of the association itself: firmly rooted in more than 140 years of wind band tradition, dating back to the 19th-century Blaskapelle Hertel, while at the same time embracing new musical paths.
A fanfare-like opening, carefully crafted dynamic contrasts, a distinctive bass solo, and memorable melodies give this marching march its festive character. In the lyrical trio section, a warm and expressive sound emerges, portraying the spirit of camaraderie between generations and the important role of music within the community.
A march that unites anniversary pride, musical heritage, and a forward-looking spirit in a truly impressive way.
