Take the Long Way Home is a very melodic song from the Supertramp album ‚Breakfast in America‘. In this arrangement the soprano saxophone and the first alto saxophone take the leading roles, while the other voices have an accompanying function. The soprano saxophone can be accompanied by the optional alto saxophone part. This expands the arrangement to a sextet. From the B section onwards, the rhythm of the baritone saxophone can be perfectly combined by a cajon.
