The baritone saxophone begins with an ostinato: then, one by one, all the other voices join in and the short core phrase of the piece is presented, followed by a brief melodic interlude. The individual voices gradually join in once more, this time starting with the first high voice. Now the core phrase is heard again, a little stronger than before.
