The name ESMAD\u0100RU comes from the first two letters of the forenames of those who first performed this work at its premiere on 18 September 2019, as part of the \u201cPauls Sakral Konzert\u201d in Kaltern (Southtyrol): namely Esther Videsott, Manfred Sinn, Daniel Vieider and Rupert Hechensteiner.
\nIt is a slow, calm, meditative and solemn piece, in which the sound and its harmonies come to the fore. The baritone saxophone begins with an ostinato: then, one by one, all the other voices join in and the short core phrase of the piece is presented, followed by a brief melodic interlude. The individual voices gradually join in once more, this time starting with the first high voice. Now the core phrase is heard again, a little stronger than before. Another short interlude follows \u2013 homorhythmic, rubato and with an emphasis on soft harmonies, introducing the core phrase one last time \u2013 now even more radiant and fuller in sound.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
