Driven by the desire to create a complete Mass, a full setting of the Ordinary gradually took shape over the course of five years. The composition\u2019s structure is simple and does not rely on the often-used fugal technique. Yet, through a combination of polyphonic and chordal writing, along with the skillful use of constantly resolving dissonances, it creates unexpectedly new and captivating sonic experiences.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"1297\"><strong data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"805\">Instrumentation possibilities:<\/strong><br data-start=\"805\" data-end=\"808\" \/>In addition to the versatile scoring options offered by edition ME2229, <em data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"943\">MISSA BREVIS IN E\u266d for mixed choir, organ, brass, and timpani<\/em>, the full score ME2309 provides the complete version for wind band, including Swiss parts. The composition is designed to be performed either purely instrumentally or with a four-part choir.
