Michèle Schladebach received her classical piano studies at the Venice Conservatory with Prof. Anna Barutti and Parma with Prof. Alberto Miodini (pianist of the „Trio di Parma”). She was a scholarship holder at the „Steinway Society” piano academy in Verona and won a scholarship as „Maestro Collaboratore” at the Genoa Conservatory.
Many chamber music concerts followed with the „Trio Les Finés” and the „Duo Claritas”, including at the „Badia Musica Festival”, „Brunecker Sommerkonzerte” and „Flus de Munt Festival”. At the „Note Nascoste – Festival” in Treviso she made her debut with an organ solo concert and plays in a duo with the Viennese violinist Julian Walder (organ & violin).
An Erasmus+ internship at the MIM Musical Instrument Museum in Brussels gave her a deep insight into European classical music culture and the folk music of our world with their unique musical instruments. During guided tours of the museum, she was able to demonstrate all keyboard instruments, from the small 16th century harpsichord to the fortepiano to the Steinway grand piano. She also could complete researches in the museum library and write texts for some of the exhibited objects there. Through this experience, back in Italy, she enrolled in composition at the Milan Conservatory, which allowed her to write music for her choirs in addition to working as a choir director. She was also able to expand this compositional and improvisatory vein at the VKM (Association of Church Music) in the subject of liturgical organ playing. Finally, Michèle came to Rome to the Dance Arts Faculty (DAF), where she currently accompanies the ballet and contemporary dance classes on the piano and with electronic music. She was also an artist at the „Frauenfeste 2024” festival with the project „Improludi” together with her colleague and dancer Greta Schuster, which is based on live music and live dance performance and uses improvisational methods.
