The concert march „Alperia” by Konrad Plaickner, one of the most significant composers from South Tyrol, breaks with traditional march structures and impressively blends innovation with classical form. The march is energetic, lively, and “charged,” reflecting its vibrant, youthful character.

With harmonic and rhythmic surprises, Plaickner creates a unique sound that mirrors the tension between tradition and renewal, harmony and dissonance – much like the changes of time itself. The world premiere of the piece took place during the Festkonzert of the Stadtkapelle Bozen in June 2022.
